COVID-19 Vaccination

The ANTA National Board have reviewed the advice provided from the Federal Government and State Health Departments concerning the COVID-19 Vaccine and treatment of clients who have received it and issued the following statement:

Members of the public who have had the COVID-19 vaccine and wish to attend your clinical practice to receive a treatment of any sort, should take the same precautions that they would take regardless of having had the vaccine. If that person has been experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, headaches, body aches, chills, fever, fatigue etc, that person should contact their medical doctor immediately and get tested for COVID-19, and refrain from attending your practice until they have received a negative result and are feeling better.

While it has been noted that the AstraZeneca vaccine has a small likelihood of causing blood clots in some of the population, the state and federal health authorities have not indicated that having received the vaccine is a reason to avoid receiving any other therapeutic intervention. However, if your client has had the vaccine (or not) and has health concerns about receiving any form of therapeutic intervention from you, please advise them to contact their medical doctor and seek further clarification.
