Updated information released by the SA government late yesterday means that there are further restrictions now in place for all of South Australia for the next 6 days (until 12:01am on Thursday 25th Nov).

The current directive states that:
The following allied health services may be provided:

  • allied health services provided by allied health professionals working as essential workers in hospitals providing critical clinical care or as directed by the hospital
  • allied health services provided by allied health professionals working in private practice providing care through telehealth and other virtual care options

The government hasn't not differentiated between allied health and non-registered health care workers. In this case, if Allied Health are restricted to telehealth / Virtual consultations, our practitioners are restricted to this also.

This means that all of our SA members can only provider telehealth / virtual consultations up until 25th. No in-person care can be provided.

We understand this short notice means cancelling or rescheduling appointments, and that this may cause inconvenience to you and your clientele. It is the government's hope that these measures will bring the recent outbreak under control quickly and that you can all return to your practices as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

We here at ANTA, are sending our best wishes and we trust that this interruption to your businesses and your lives will not be a long one.
